1. Climate neutral food and wood: Showcasing best climate practices in agriculture, forestry, food systems and the bioeconomy

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) and EASME are organising a series of webinars to showcase successful LIFE and Horizon 2020 projects in the areas of agriculture (6th October), food systems (7th), forestry (8th), and the bioeconomy (9th). These online events will feature project representatives, experts from the EU Institutions and agencies as well as other key stakeholders. They will discuss best practices, lessons learned, and future policy initiatives.
2. Food 2030 - Transforming food systems through Research & Innovation

Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, and the German EU presidency.
This online event – on World Food Day - brings together researchers, innovators, policy makers, stakeholders and civil society for a high level discussion on the transition to sustainable food systems, and more specifically, on the key role of research and innovation therein.
3. Food policy at a time of crisis: what should the future look like?
16 October 2020,14:00 – 15:00 CEST, 13:00 - 14:00 BST
The global crisis of 2020 has made every one of us aware that ‘business as usual’ is not an option for future food policy. How have we arrived at where we are now, in terms of food policy, especially in Europe? What would a transformed future look like? What will it take to transition to a food policy that delivers us a sustainable and fair food system that is better for our health, the environment, society and the economy?
The panel of experts, including Professor Tim Lang, Professor Terry Marsden, Professor Katrien Termeer, Professor Carina Keskitalo, will share their vision for radical system change and will set out their views on the workable policies needed to achieve it. You, the global audience, will be able to pose questions and contribute to the debate.
A second webinar addressing the evidence on a sustainable food transition will take place on 22 October.
